Bihar State Road Development Corporation Limited has simultaneously been working on multiple and prestigious projects. 1200 kms of roads have already been constructed and opened to traffic in the last few years and almost similar kilometers of roads would be completed very soon.
The prestigious projects like Elevated Corridor between AIIMS and Digha is nearing completion. The Kacchi Dargah – Bidupur 6 Lane Ganga Brdige is progressing well. Ganga Path, the work has picked up after certain hurdles & hiccups were seen through.
“Time Contouring” has been an important factor in identifying pockets where there are problems in commuting within 5 hrs. to state capital. This aspect has been factored in all projects conceived for future construction and upgradation.
The edicts of the Road Master plan 2035 have been followed for newer projects and wherever construction is nearing completion, the desired results are visible.
There has been a dramatic change in the fortunes of Bihar in terms of development indexes. The visible icons can be witnessed in increased vehicular traffic and other similar manifestations. Lifestyle icons are an indicator of prosperity but with it comes inherent problems. Alternative roads and passages are being prospected so that it eases the traffic congestion within the precincts of cities.
Road Safety is being given prime importance and specific instructions have been given to strictly adhere to the best safety standards in the road sector.
